The Wayne Metro Connect Center is open Monday through Friday from 8am-6pm and on Saturdays from 9am-12pm.

The Connect Center operates multiple phone lines, a live web based chat feature, and has an email inbox.

The Connect Center operates several phone lines for a multitude of services. When in doubt, call 313-388-9799 to connect to any Wayne Metro program.

Direct program phone numbers are a great option if you know exactly which programs you would like to connect about, below you will find an explanation of the direct program phone numbers.

  • HUD Housing programs can be reached by calling 734-284-6999
  • Detroit Tax Relief Fund and Homeowner’s Property Tax Exemption (HOPE) can be reached by calling 313-244-0274

The Connect Center can assist you with a variety of services, including answering various questions about Wayne Metro programs and services, scheduling appointments for various services, conduct screenings to help you understand program eligibility, and help navigate available resources for your specific situation.

In order to call on behalf of another person, we must have verbal confirmation from that person in order to speak with you.

If the person you are calling for is unable to give their permission for you to speak with us, you can always call back when they are available or submit documentation to wmconnectcenter@waynemetro.org granting you permission to speak on their behalf.

Yes! The Connect Center offers recorded messages in English, Spanish, and Arabic, has several multilingual staff, and has a third party interpreter service that offers interpretation in over 150 languages.

The Connect Center phone system is compatible with TTY services and also offers both a web based chat feature and email inbox for those with speech and hearing impairments.
